Skills:

Provide commercial and Industrial design engineering support for automotive OEM and handle the research programs.
Provide core expertise with computational methods in engineering structural analysis coupled with product development.
Support design areas with the guidance of design proposals, development of specifications, concept selections, Report Structural Safety analysis status at Project meetings and Design reviews, Planning, coordinating and executing correlation testing.
Conducting CAE model correlation to experimental data, calculating structural stiffness, strength, durability and thermal analysis, deciding CAE input load.
Numerical Validation of Automotive components and systems for Structural Safety and Durability performance.
System and Full Vehicle model set-up for Static and Dynamic Analysis with Non-linearity.
Create and maintain technical specifications for the vehicle according to Structural Performance requirements.
Develop and execute testing and validation plans of the Vehicle with documentation via Testing Plans and specific DVP&Rs.
Debugging the models and correlating the FE results with Test results.
Product analysis including function and failure. Identifying causes of failure and suggest countermeasures.
Process and product development with continuous improvement using virtual analysis and design of experiment.

Qualification:

Must have a Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field, plus one (1) year of automotive engineering experience with the following: (1) ANSA (2) Ansys (3) HyperMesh (4) Abaqus FEA (5) LS-DYNA and (6) MSC Nastran.
In the alternative, we will accept a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree automotive engineering experience. One (1) year of the five (5) years of progressive automotive engineering experience must include the following: (1) ANSA (2) Ansys (3) Hyperworks (4) Abaqus (5) LS-Dyna AND (6) Nastran.

All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and/or relocation may be required. Incidental telecommuting may be required.
