Job Description:

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, release, and integrate all Components and Assemblies for Seat Systems. This includes leading and coordinating the development of the various components to meet the system level requirements of design, performance, cost, weight, quality, and craftsmanship, ensuring that the engineering deliverables are met
  • Complete engineering deliverables throughout the complete program life on time with high-quality for all milestones, from Product Definition, Target Setting, Supplier Sourcing, Engineering Development, Validation, and Testing, and up to Launch and Production Stages
  • Take charge of issue resolution to ensure deliverables are achieved across different milestones
  • Oversee the financial status to target for the Seat System
  • Take charge of executing Target Delivery and Target Confirmation for cost, weight, and quality
  • Lead and support the cost process to deliver sourcing packages to the supply base
  • Manage tools and processes for tracking and following up on engineering and program delivery
  • Lead the resolution of Prototype and Final Assembly build issues
Desired Profile:
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry, specifically in Product Engineering or Design and Release Engineering (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Full Product Development Cycle, including launch experience in at least one vehicle (From Mid-Position)
  • Advanced proficiency in English with the ability to lead and maintain fluid conversations (Required)
  • Proficiency in communication and presentation, with the ability to communicate ideas concisely and effectively in verbal and written form to all levels of the organization
  • Advanced people skills (Required)
  • Ability to find solutions and/or make recommendations for issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a willingness to take accountability during the early stages of resolution
  • Ability to create and execute timing plans to ensure product delivery
  • Ability to create and maintain issue resolution trackers to ensure adherence to plans
  • Proficiency in identifying and resolving system problems or issues and make decisions based on data
  • Experience in using problem-solving tools such as 8D and Root Cause Analysis
