Job Description:
- Design and CAD (2D/3D) of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Brakes system.
- Able to perform design calculations.
- Packaging of Foundation brakes, Brake Booster, Vacuum tanks, Compressor and other brake system parts.
- Brake pedal leverage calculation, brake booster selection, vacuum pump selection & Brake routing
- Creation of SOR/RFI documents for proprietary parts if required
- Good knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Passenger and commercial vehicle.
- Understanding of various brake actuation systems such as hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.
- Understanding of Brake circuits used in passenger car and commercial vehicles
- Expert in 3D Cad Tools.
- Understand vehicle/subsystem functional objectives, interdependencies and study the packaging, serviceability and cost implications.
- Working closely with cross functional teams like materials, CAE, testing, service, warranty, and supplier quality.
- Supplier interaction for development of Brake system components and finalization of DVP. Design release of proprietary and BTP parts as per customer’s design release process.
- Good knowledge of electric vehicles.
- Should be experience in basic and detailed engineering.
- Good Knowledge of benchmarking.
- Good understanding of Machining, forging and Casting process.
- Good knowledge of material and technical specification of above aggregates.
- Good knowledge of drawing detailing and GD&T.
- Knowledge of DFMEA/DFA/DFM/DFS.
- Basic understanding of PLM/PDM software.
