Job Description:

  • RRF No: HT01-24
  • Skills:
  • To design and develop automotive seating systems and components for vehicle production which include the engineering design and release of foam, structure, plastics, trim cover and Just in Time (JIT) components
  • Define functional requirements and develop system Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR),
  • Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and function models
  • update and test calibrations in the lab and in-vehicle, release performance specifications and drawings
  • nteract with other functional engineering groups, suppliers, manufacturing plants and purchasing; integrate stakeholder requirements into final vehicle design based on broad vehicle knowledge and productively manage change
  • Use proactive tools (Design for Six Sigma) to solve problems
  • Utilize reactive quality tools (Kepner-Tregoe / Shainin)
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Green Belt
  • Position and manipulate models, as well as cut sections, dimensions and conceptualize designs with Virtual Product Modelling, Configuration and Description of the Product and TeamCenter knowledge based on Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems (NX and CATIA V5).

Qualification:

  • Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus two (2) years of automotive engineering experience as a Design Release Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Assistant Manager, or related position. Two (2) years of the automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: 1) NX; 2) CATIA V5; and 3) Teamcenter.
  • In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor’s Degree automotive engineering experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor's Degree automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: 1) NX; 2) CATIA V5; and 3) Teamcenter.
All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and/or relocation may be required. Frequency of travel approximately 10% / year. International travel is not required. Domestic travel and relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the United States required as needed based on Hinduja Tech Inc. business needs. Incidental telecommuting may apply. EOE.
