  • To analyze test data, evaluate reliability of measurement instruments.
  • Prepare test reports that factor pre-setting/execution/data analysis, and develop countermeasure solutions to improve customer safety.
  • Conduct lighting test of components such as headlamps, rear lamps, and fog lamps.
  • Review technical drawings to identify critical features which may impair operational safety or function.
  • Gather technical requirements to know how to conduct future vehicle tests and prepare evaluation plans for new components.
  • Create evaluation plans based on a laboratory’s capabilities and available testing technology.
  • Research new technologies that perform vehicle tests.
  • Explain test report hypotheses during presentations.
  • Provide managers with a weekly high-level summary of test results.


  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field, plus two (2) years of automotive engineering experience. One (1) year of the two (2) years of automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: (1) Headlamp design; (2) Goniometer and Photocells; (3) Testing Equipment; and 4) LED Technologies. In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, we will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service.
All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and/or relocation may be required. Incidental telecommuting may apply.
